The inspiration behind my work

Values Based Leadership - Lead from the inside out.
A values-based leader:
• Leads with their core values, principles and beliefs to ignite the potential in those around them. Behaviours are rooted in moral and ethical foundations.
• Is rooted in who you are and what matters most to you. When you truly know yourself and what you stand for, it is much easier to know what to do in any situation.
• Must be willing to look within themselves through regular self-reflection and strive for greater self-awareness.

Michael Jr. and Simon Sinek  - On the importance of knowing your Why.
We all know our WHAT but to live with purpose and passion we must know our WHY.

Viktor E. Frankl - Author of Man's Search for Meaning
Survivor of Auschwitz says "He who has a Why to live for can bear almost any How". And that "We are never left with nothing as long as we retain the freedom to choose how we will respond".

Thank You to a colleague of mine, Aaron Russell, for bringing this book to me.

Brene Brown - The Power of Vulnerability
Vulnerability is fundamental to living wholeheartedly. Having the courage to be truly seen, and the compassion to be kind to yourself and others, leads to deep and meaningful connections.

Thank You to my Masters degree cohort at Royal Roads University for bringing this video to me.

Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner - Authors of the Leadership Challenge.
The Five Practices to Exemplary Leadership - If all organizations concentrated on these five practices, organizations would be full of self-aware, life-long learners who are highly engaged in their work.

Thank You to the Royal Roads MA in Leadership program for bringing this book into my life.

Peter Senge - Author of the Fifth Discipline.
Peter Senge writes about the importance of Personal Mastery. Individuals and organizations must go through an intense and honest process to help understand their current state and create a vision of where they want to go. The process itself creates tension that pulls you towards your goals.

Thank You to the Royal Roads MA in Leadership program for bringing the concept of Personal Mastery into my life.
